Black and White Wedding Flower Ideas

Many flowers come in white, a dminate color you should keep in your bouquets. White roses are especially elegant and create the most romantic look.
Other white flowers include gardenias, calla lilies, gerber daisies, and baby’s breath. If you choose to use large amounts of baby’s breath though, remember they have a strong smell—make sure it is not too overpowering.
Calla lilies come in black or white and are modern flowers to use in a bouquet. They also look excellent as boutonnieres for the men, especially when you add a contrasting feather to the background.
Once you have chosen the flowers for your bouquet, determine how you will arrange them. A simple but elegant way is to hold the flower stems together with green floral tape and cover it with a cuff of diamonds or pearls. Or use a black or white ribbon. Leave the ends trailing or secure them into a simple bow. You can also use a black and white ribbon or even polka dotted. Another touch is to attach the ribbon with a brooch or pin. This could be especially nice if the jewelry piece is a family heirloom.
For a bit of flare, feathers can be added to a bouquet. If you want rich black highlights in your bouquet, consider small silk flowers.
Carry a single flower or an entire bouquet. For a difference from the traditional bouquet, hold the flowers at an angle, resting them on your arm.
Flower girls can carry miniature bouquets, black and white petals in baskets, or even a flower circle. Decorate their hair with white flowers.
