Your centerpieces reflect the continuing atmosphere of your wedding. To keep the reception room from looking too dark, be sure to keep the dominate color as white and use black to accent.

Cover tables with white tablecloths and accent them with a black runner down the center. You can also lay out a lacy black cloth on top of the white. Set out black or white chairs.

Use contrasting black and white plates. Get creative with the napkins. There are plenty of options with them, so you would easily find pinstriped or Tiffany noir napkins, for example. Even plain black napkins on a simple white table cloth immediately work with your theme.

Personalize M&M’s by ordering them in black and white. Pour them into glass bowls around the table. Consider adding your names and the wedding date to the M&M’s, or even a picture of yourselves. Sprinkle the M&M’s or black and white confetti around the tables.

Did you use feathers in your wedding? Use them in the reception room, too. Tall black and white feathers are attention catchers when strewn across tables, standing in vases, or worked into bouquets.

Set black stands down the table centers. Place white candles, small flowers, or even cupcakes on top of them.

Put bouquets of white flowers inside square vases. Decorate the vases by wrapping black and white ribbon around them. For shorter centerpieces, light candles of various heights surrounded by glass marbles in a black plate.

Set a champagne glass on a small mirror, scatter clear marbles around it, and tie a black or white ribbon around the champagne glass stem. Fill the glass with water and let a lighted tea candle float.
